Men Often Ask Us...
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I think my penis is too small, should I consider getting it lengthened?
A: See your Doctor. If he thinks your penis is normal and you still think it's too small, don't get it lengthened. See a psychiatrist.
Q: I used to be able to have sex 3 or 4 times a night. Now I only need it once or twice a week. What's wrong?
A: Welcome to middle age. You're normal!
Q: Last Friday, I had a couple of beers, 2 glasses of wine and then tried to make love to my wife. I couldn't get a good erection. Does this mean I'm impotent?
A: No, you just drank too much. Try again, preferably when you're both well rested and haven't had too much alcohol.
Q: I smoke three packs a day and just heard that it might make me impotent. Should I stop smoking?
A: No. If cancer hasn't scared you into quitting, why should sex?
Q: Is there such a thing as "Male Menopause?"
A: Probably. Men undergo more gradual hormonal changes than women as they age. Reduced sex drive, mood swings, lack of energy and reduced muscle strength can all be due to changing testosterone levels. Sometimes, hormone supplements can help reduce or eliminate these symptoms.
Q: What strategies do you recommend for treatment of erectile dysfunction?
A: Our first priority is providing you with the resources you need to understand erectile dysfunction, its causes and the many treatment options available. We encourage open dialogue, fully appreciating the sensitivities involved in discussing and treating this condition.
In addition to lifestyle suggestions such as a focus on nutrition and fitness, we can explain the various treatments and help you decide which is most appropriate for you.
Q: How do I get an appointment?
A: Call the Centre nearest you to make an appointment.
A referral from your family physician is preferred, but not essential. If you have questions, our staff will be glad to answer them and we will send you a confirmation letter with more information.
